About me

I never intended to become a freelance web and mobile developer. I’d been dabbling in code most of my life but never considered it as a career. In 2017, I ran a pilot project using WhatsApp to connect refugees with volunteers for English practice. It proved popular, but scaling required a dedicated app, so I taught myself app development. By 2020, the Chatloop messaging app was released, I found myself working as a freelance web developer, and I haven’t looked back!
I enjoy building things, especially collaboratively, so I enjoy web development. I especially enjoy building things that people find useful and has a real and positive impact in the world. As such, I prefer to work on projects with an intended social good outcome. To that end, I offer discounted rates to non-profit or social enterprise clients.

I’ve was born in Canberra and I’ve also lived in Brisbane, Sydney, Indonesia and Japan. These days I’m a digital nomad and move around a lot, but I usually work on Brisbane time.
Bushcraft is my main interest these days, and I can sometimes be found volunteering as a camp assistant on Bushcraft Survival Australia courses. I’ve been know to spend many an evening playing indie tabletop role playing games. My Playstation 5 gathers no dust and I’m active within Degrowth Network Australia.
